Practice Times
Tri-City Relays will practice on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:00 to 7:30 at North Forsyth High School.
Registration Fees Set for 2007 Summer Track and Field Season
Practice will start on April 2nd from 6:00 - 7:30 on the track at North Forsyth High School.
Tri-City Relays will accept registration and payment starting March 5th. ALL PAPERWORK and FEES must be completed and
paid by APRIL 6th or the athlete will not be permitted to practice or run in meets under Tri-City Relays.

Tri-City Relays Captures 33 Medals at AAU Southern Indoor Nationals
Tri-City Relays track and field team traveled to Knoxville Tennessee this past weekend to compete in the 2007 AAU Southern
National Indoor Track and Field Championships. 3 National Titles and 33 All American honors (1st through 8th place) were
awarded.
Miles Cabean captured a National Title in the Bantam Boys (9-10 yr. old) 1500 meter run (5:32.42) and finished
second in the 800 meter run (2:37.34).
D’Ray Vannoy captured a National Title in the Young Boys (17-18 yr. old) 800 meter
run (2:05.96). The Bantam Girls (9-10 yrs old) 4 x 400 meter relay team of
Ciani Byrom, Elisabeth Marshall, Erin Morrison
and Mikaila Roberts also won a National Title in a time of 5:15.03.
Erin Morrison captured a silver medal with a second
place finish in the Bantam Girls 55 meter dash (8.23) and a third place finish in the 200 meter dash (30.74).
Divonni
Powell earned a second place finish in the Midget Girls (11-12 yr. old) 3000 meter run (12:16.21). The Midget Girls
4 x 400 meter relay team of
Jakeitha Baker, Asia Jackson, Jamaica Gainey, and Renee McCall finished second with a time
of 5:09.47.
Ciani Byrom earned third place honors in the Bantam Girls 55 meter dash (8.27) and
Taylor Dewberry finished
third in the Intermediate Girls 400 meter dash (59.82).

Tri City Relays just returned from an outstanding performance at the AAU Jr. Olympics in Norfolk, Va. The Intermediate Boys 4 x 100 meter Relay (Dominique Tate, Corey Wilkerson, Demetrius David and Bryce Sherman) took first in the semi-finals with a time of 41.6 seconds, then captured the Gold Medal in the finals with a time of 41.995 seconds. Taylor Dewberry finished first in the Youth Girls 400 meter semi-finals with a time of 56.16 seconds, then took the Silver Medal in the finals with a personal best time of 55.47 seconds.
A host of Tri-City Athletes made it to their event finals and qualified as AAU All American medalists. 9 Named All-American at USATF Youth Outdoor National Championships
The Tri-City Relays track and field team had several outstanding performances this past week at the USATF Youth Outdoor National Championships in Greensboro, NC (June 27 – July 2). For official results click
RESULTS. Tri-City athletes collected a combined 15 All-American (1st – 8th place) medals. Leading the way was a gold medal performance by the Intermediate Boys (15 – 16 yr. old) 4 X 100m relay team. The team of Bryce Sherman, Cory Wilkerson, Demetrius David and Cameron McCain clocked a nation leading 41.76 seconds to finish 1st and earn gold medals. Jackeitha Baker continued an outstanding season by finishing 3rd in the Bantam Girls (9 – 10 yr. old) 1500m run in 5:22.13. Additionally, Jackeitha finished 4th in the 800m run with a time of 2.33.95. Taylor Dewberry took 4th place in an elite field in the Youth Girls (13 – 14) 400m run with a time of 57.35 seconds. Taylor followed that performance with a 6th place finish in the 200m and a time of 25.66 seconds. In addition to his performance on the 4 X 100m relay team, Demetrius David (Intermediate Boys) finished 3rd in the 200m in 22.03 seconds and 6th in the 100m with a time of 11.08. Bryce Sherman earned All-American honors in the 100m (4th in 11.00 seconds) and the 200m (6th in 22.34 seconds) in addition to his performance on the 4 X 100m relay. Perry Cabean finished 4th in the Midget Boys (11 – 12 yr. old) 3000m run with a time of 11:02.94, while D’Ray Vannoy finished 5th in the Intermediate Boys 800m run with a time of 1:59.71. While scoring Tri-City’s only field event points, Markeen Carmichael threw the shot put 10.44 meters (34’3”) in the Midget Boys Shot Put. Cory Wilkerson and Cameron McCain earned medals on the Intermediate Boys 4 X 100m relays. Other Tri-City participants were Miles Cabean (9th place) in the Bantam Boys 1500m run in 5:19.16, Divonnie Powell (12th place) Midget Girls 3000m run in 11:51.20, and Terrence Cannon (23rd place) in the Midget Boys 800m run in 2:34.16.

Tri-City competed on Saturday and Sunday at the 2006 NCAAU State Championships at Mt. Pleasant High School and left with 11 girls (Tyler Mercer 800, Ciani Byrom 100, Erin Morrison 200, Makaila Roberts 400, Jakeitha Baker 800, 1500, Dania Hatch 3000, 1500, Taylor Dewberry 200, 400, Chantelle Bethea JAV)
and 14 boys (Miles Cabean 800, 1500, Terrance Cannon 800, Perry Cabean 3000, Markeen Charmichael SP, Jake Gainey 100, 200, Alphonso Green 100H, Tuli Hanner and Nick Hatch LJ, Bryce Sherman 100, Demetrius David 200, D’Ray Vannoy 800, 1500) individual state campionships. Tri-City Relay Teams won 4 state championships. A total of 58 athletes (25 girls and 33 boys) qualified for regionals in individual events and 21 Relay Teams qualified for Regionals. The Region 3A Track and Field Championships will be held at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, Tennessee on July 6-9, 2006. Tri-City Finishes Third at Bring the Heat
Tri-City Relays travelled to West Charlotte High School on Sunday and came home with a third place finish. This was our first meet of the season and everyone is excited about the journey to the Junior Olympics in Hampton Virginia. You can view the individual and relay results from this weekends meet

Charlotte Heat Track Meet on April 29
Our first meet for this season is this weekend on Saturday at West Charlotte High School in Charlotte. There will be a bus available on a first come first serve basis. Athletes ride for free but need to sign up--there will be a list at practice. If there is space available parents/families can ride at a charge of $10/person. (must sign up ahead of time)
Athletes are registered for the meets and coaches have placed athletes in events. There are many relay teams---if your athlete is unable to attend please let the coaches know as soon as possible.
Please read over the section in the general information about being prepared for track meets. This will be an all day event and you should be prepared.

Track Season Begins April 3rd
The 2006 Tri-City Relays Track Season will begin on April 3rd. Practices will be held at North Forsyth High School in Winston-Salem on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 6:00 to 7:30. All athletes must have filled out registration forms and paid (in full) registration fees in order to participate in practices.
Tri-City Brings Home 10 Medals at AAU Southern Indoor National Track and Field Championships
The Tri-City Relays track and field team had several outstanding performances this past weekend at the AAU Southern Indoor National Championships in Knoxville, Tennessee. Tri-City finished with a combined 10 All-American (1st – 8th place) finishes. D’Ray Vannoy captured two national titles as he won individual gold medals in the Intermediate Boys (15 – 16 yr. old) 1500 meter and 800 meter runs. Taylor Dewberry earned a silver medal with her second place finish in the Youth Girls (13 – 14 yr. old) triple jump. Additionally, Taylor finished eighth in the Youth Girls 200 meter run. Miles Cabean won a silver medal in the Bantam Boys (9 – 10 yr. old) 1500 meter run in addition to breaking the AAU national indoor record. Divonnie Powell earned All-American status twice with bronze medal 3rd place finish in the 3000 meter run and her 8th place finish in the 1500 meter run in the Girls Midget Division (11 – 12 yr. old). Perry Cabean earned All-American status three times with a 4th place finish in the 3000 meter runs and 7th place finishes in both the 1500 meter and 800 meter runs.
